To make a stitched tile ..........

Open a new image:
75 x 75 pixels
Transparent
16.7 Million colors

Flood fill with a medium color, I am using #7790B1, a wee bit lighter than before.

Effects > Noise > Add > 4 or 5% uniform > ok.

Set your foreground to a darker or contrasting color, I am using #5A769C.

Add a new layer.

Choose your draw tool and set to:
Single Line
Width 1
Antialias checked
Line Style Dash Dot Dot

Place your cursor at 15,0 and draw straight down to 15,75.

Image > Flip.

Place your cursor at 30,0 and draw straight down to 30,75.

Image > Flip.

Place your cursor at 45,0 and draw straight down to 45,75.

Image > Flip.

Place your cursor at 60,0 and draw straight down to 60,75.

Image > Flip.

Place your cursor at 74,0 and draw straight down to 74,75.  (For some reason it won't let you get to the 75 mark LOL!)

No flip this time.

Place your cursor at 0,0 and draw straight down to 0,75.

In your layer palette lower the line layer opacity to about 60.

Layers > Merge > Merge visible.

Effects > Plug-in Filters > Simple > Quick Tile.

All done!

Now if you want some lil' boxes all you do is go one step further...

Effects > Reflection Effects > Kaleidoscope > these settings:
Horizontal & Vertical Offset 3
Rotation angle 0
Scale -45
Petals 4
Orbits 0
Suction 27

There you have it!
