Flip Frame This tutorial was
created and put on this site on July 2, 2003. This tutorial is written for v8 of PSP but you should have no problem using another version. For this tutorial
you will need:
Open the image of
your choice or use the one I am using.
Set your colors to two colors from your image, I am using #6D2D2B and #F1DBDB. Set your foreground to gradient, Foreground-Background, Linear, Angle and Repeats 0. Image > Add
borders > these settings: *Note - this is slightly different now in v8 - you get to chose your color in the border dialog box rather than worrying about what your background color is set at. Image > Add
borders > these settings: Set your make wand
at: Click inside of the dark border. Effects > 3D
Effects > Inner Bevel > these settings: Selections > Invert. Effects > 3D
Effects > Cutout > these settings: Selections > Select none. Image > Add
borders > these settings: With your magic wand click inside the white border. Selections > Load/Save selection > Save to Alpha channel > Save. Flood fill the selection with your gradient. Adjust >
Add/Remove noise > Add noise > these settings: Selections > Modify > Contract > 5 > ok. Image > Flip. Again.... Selections > Modify > Contract > 5 > ok. Image > Flip. Once more... Selections > Modify > Contract > 5 > ok. Image > Flip. Selections > Load/Save selection > Load from Alpha channel > Load. Effects > 3D
