For this tutorial you will need:
PSP 7 ~ download a trial version.

Fireworks shape ~ download here.
(Unzip into your PSP shapes folder.)

Heartfelt gradient ~ download here.
(Unzip into your PSP gradient folder or use a gradient of your own.)

Open a new image:
200 x 200 pixels
Transparent
16.7 Million colors

Set your foreground to null and your background to the heartfelt gradient, Style linear, Angle 90 and Repeats 1.

To set the gradient click on the small black arrow and then choose the gradient icon.

Now click on the Styles box and you will get a pop up box.
Click on the arrow bar next to the preview box and find the gradient.

Select your shapes tool and set at:
Fireworks 3
Line width 1
Antialias checked

Place your cursor at 2,2 and drag down to the bottom right corner.

Right click on this layer in your Layer Palette and duplicate.

Image > Rotate > either direction, 90 degrees, all layers UNchecked.

Lower the opacity of your duplicated layer to 80.

Effects > 3D Effects > Drop shadow > these settings:
Vertical & Horizontal 0
Opacity 35
Blur 1.2
Color #400000
