This tutorial was created and put on this site on
August 30, 2001. For this tutorial you will need: PSP 7 - Download a trial
version. Unzip peacock.zip and inside you will find: Gold_Shiny.q9q
& Marina.q9q - put into your Blade Pro enviroments & textures folder. Open a new image 500 x 500 and these settings:
Add a new layer. Name it Black and flood fill it with black. Add a new layer. Name it Body. Selections > Load from disk... > find the folder with the selections in it and choose the body selection. Flood fill with white. Effects > Plug-in Filters > Flaming Pear > Blade Pro > apply the Marina preset. Selections > Select none. You should have this: Add a new layer. Name it Beak. Selections > Load from disk.. > find the folder with the selections in it and choose the beak selection. Flood fill with white. Effects > Plug-in Filters > Flaming Pear > Blade Pro > apply the Shiny Gold preset. Selections > Select none. You should have this: Add a new layer. Name it Eye. Choose the brush tool
Using black, place a dot on his head. You should have this:
Turn off Layer 1 and Black layer >Layers > Merge > Merge Visible. Rename the merged layer Body. Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow > use these settings:
Drop Shadow again and use these settings:
