For this
tutorial you will need:
PSP 7 ~ download
a trial version.
Simple's Filter ~ download
here. (Download
the bonus set of filters.)
You may also
want to download the preset for the Lights setting, download
it here, then unzip it into your PSP7 presets folder.
Open a new
image:
200 x 200 pixels
Transparent
16.7 Million colors
Flood fill
your graphic with a dark color, I am using #000080.
Effects >
Illumination Effects > Lights > these settings:

Darkness
70
Light #3 depressed
On checked
Color white
Intensity 40
Direction 0
Horizontal 0
Vertical 130
Smoothness 28
Scale 25
Cone size 40
Asymmetry 600
*Be
sure that Light #3 is the only one with the On box checked. |

> Add > 3-4% uniform.
(Depending on how choppy the gradient looks.)

Reflection Effects > Kaleidoscope > these settings:

Vertical offset 0
Rotation angle 0

Number of orbits 1
Radial suction 100 |
