For this tutorial
you will need:
Paint Shop Pro 8 ~ download
a trial version.
Open a new image:
400 x 400 pixels
Transparent
Raster background
16.7 Million colors
Flood fill with a dark brown, I am using #1D1815.
Texture effects > Texture > these settings:
Grainy bumps
73%
Smoothness 5
Depth 92
Ambiance 39
Shininess 19
Color #EBEBEB
Angle 315
Intensity 50
Elevation 30
Noise
Uniform
50%
Monochrome checked
Adjust > Add/Remove noise > Texture Preserving Smooth > 46 > ok.
Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen.
This texture is not seamless but pretty darned close.
I would not make
it seamless for using it with the pepper shaker.
Save this "tile" for use
later.
